
Wine Nuts History
Wine Nuts were born after we began growing our own Merlot and Chardonnay grapes to improve upon the typically sweet North Carolina wines.
Sandi Ford, was inspired to marinate North Carolina peanuts in our wine before roasting to see if she could come up with a tasty snack that wasn’t covered in sugar or salt.
To enhance the flavor, we later came up with an all-natural Merlot and Chardonnay flavoring to mix in with the nuts. The Wine Nuts line then expanded to include a Margarita flavor, Choco-late, and our new Lemoncella flavor, inspired by a recent wedding trip to Italy. We also have Fire Dancer Jalapeno Peanuts, an instant hit with just enough jalapeno to keep you coming back for more. Since their debut, our nuts have won numerous awards world-wide, including Best Snack Food in the USA, Best Snack Nut in the USA, a Silver Medal from the Fine Food Guild in the UK, and First Place in the Fiery Food Challenge.
